The Koka Booth Amphitheater is located in a lovely natural setting in Cary, North Carolina next to Symphony Lake. This amphitheater is considered one of the southeast’s most distinctive venues for the performing arts. The Crescent deck and spacious lawn provide the capacity for 7,000. The town of Cary operates and owns the amphitheater and SMG or Spectacor Management Group manages the venue. The town named the venue after Koka Booth, the previous mayor of the town. The amphitheater was built on the northern bank of Symphony Lake in 2000. The amphitheater offers concerts and festivals including the North Carolina Symphony. The Current PerformancesÂ
The upcoming venue is expected to include The Outlaws & Renegades Tour featuring the Charlie Daniels Band, Travis Tritt and The Cadillac Three in July of 2019. The Strings Attached Tour includes Weird Al Yankovich and the North Carolina Symphony. The beauty of the Chinese Lantern Festival will also be returning to the Koka Booth Amphitheater. There are no parking fees for this event and you will enjoy watching the light displays, lanterns and live cultural performances. The walk encompasses about half a mile or you can relax and appreciate the view with seating at the Crescent deck. The Crescent deck offers an amazing menu with special treats and beverages. If any member of your party requires a wheelchair, they are able to bring it with them.Â
The Specialized Seating ChoicesÂ
You will find general seating available on the spacious lawn located just behind the area available for reserved seating. This is roughly 100 feet from the main stage. You can choose where you want to sit and bring blankets or lawn chairs for most events to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. The general admission seating does vary slightly for some of the vents including Movies by Moonlight and the NC Symphony Summerfest series. In most cases, you will find seating beginning by the stage and continuing until you reach the rear of the lawn. You can even rent lawn chairs if you do not want to bring your own.Â
The majority of the concerts hosted by the Koka Booth Amphitheater offer 1,000 reserved seats available directly in front of the main stage. There is not a roof above this seating, you must present a ticket to enter and the seats are usually comprised of folding chairs. The Crescent deck provides elevated seating just behind the lawn. This seating is covered and provides a wait service for numerous different events. The venue additionally provides both tables and chairs for everyone with a ticket to sit in this section. Some events are so well attended, an area at the front of the stage is set aside for standing room only. This area is considered general seating, does not provide a roof, umbrellas, blankets or lawn chairs and ensures the festivities are available to more people.Â
